You can get legally married here if you have held residency for at least two years or if you are a citizen of Spain. If you are neither, the only other option is to have a Catholic wedding.
To hold a Catholic wedding, you or your partner must be Catholic and neither of you should have been married or divorced before. If you choose this option, you will need to give yourself at least six months to get all your paperwork ready and your bishop will need to send your documents to the priest in Tenerife.
If you are neither Catholic nor a resident, you cannot have a legally binding wedding in Tenerife. However, you can hold your blessing ceremony and reception here and do your marriage paperwork in the UK before you come.

Getting legally married in your own country is the simplest way to go. Afterwards, you may choose to have a religious ceremony and blessing here, though you will need to provide proof of baptism and other documents to make that happen. Once the legal and religious aspects are taken care of, you can host a reception here to celebrate.
